The Editorial Team have, in recent weeks, witnessed numerous postings of a racist nature by persons promoting the British National Party.
Propaganda of this type is incompatible with the Content and Comment Policy of SalfordOnline and it has therefore been decided to remove such postings and adopt a stricter policy towards future contributions which may have the potential to attract offensive material.
The philosophy behind SalfordOnline is to empower the people of Salford to express their views, particularly on local issues, however as in any such forum that freedom must be tempered by a responsibility to other members of the community.
The facilities offered by SalfordOnline, should not be used for unlawful purposes or for the promotion of dangerous and illegal activities. You may not publish material that promotes hate toward groups based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age or sexual orientation.
The Editor and staff of SalfordOnline reserve the right to monitor all entries and if deemed necessary remove inappropriate material and if necessary, report such instances to the authorities.

I don't know. They're only copying and pasting. To the guy who keeps pasting the same comment again and again, I keep wanting to post a snarky reply with the Rita Mae Brown quote "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results." but the editor keeps deleting the BNP comment before I get there =) |

Just for the record, two articles have today been posted on SalfordOnline which were taken from the BNP website, this despite previous requests for self moderation. As a result the editorial team have decided to remove all known BNP articles and blogs and ban any future postings promoting or associated with BNP activities. |

Interesting, very interesting... the attitude of one previous commentator appears to be that mass murder of millions of people is fine - just so long as they are not murdered outside the womb! It's okay because it's democracy in action!? Of course the 7,000,000 British victims of abortion can't exercise their right to vote because they were denied their right to life. Just because something occurs in a country with a democratic system does not make it right. |

It's interesting that the millions of people slaughtered under totalitarian regimes has been discussed here. Did you know that 7,000,000 British people have been killed by abortion in the UK in the last 40 years? It makes some of the world's worst dictators look 'small-time' doesn't it? Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge massacred 2,000,000 Cambodians. Hitler and the Nazis slaughtered 6,000,000 Jews. 7,000,000 British victims of abortion and counting - with 200,000 new victims added to the death toll every year. Makes you think doesn't it? |

Regrettably they were handed a perfect opportunity when Hazel Blears and her ilk decided to “rock the boat” just before the local elections which resulted in not only many good councillors, their workers and families suffering financial hardship – PAY ATTENTION LOCAL LABOUR ACTIVISTS- but amongst other things two BNP candidates being elected as MEP’s. This has resulted not only in the shaming of British politics but has given the BNP access to levels of EU funding beyond their wildest dreams |

You must have a case of severe amnesia, remember this: Salford's British National Party organiser, Eddy O Sullivan could be sacked after he allegedly made racist comments on his Facebook page. He told the Manchester Evening News that the comments were supposed to be part of a "private conversation" and that he "may have had a drink at the time". |
