If you can't see video files on SalfordOnline - this should fix the problem
There is a bug in the latest version of Internet Explorer (No8) which prevents Flash (.flv files) movies from playing ( this is the name given to the type of video we use on SalfordOnline) but once Microsoft have ironed out the errors with IE8 things will go back to normal. In the meantime, the following should solve the problem.

There are 2 easy ways to overcome the problem:

1) View your Internet through a Firefox browser instead of Internet Explorer, this is an alternative and popular option and can be downloaded here:
http://en-gb.www.mozilla.com/en-GB/

2) Alternatively, you can go back to using the previous version of Internet Explorer by uninstalling the new version, incidentally the upgrade probably took place without you realising it via an automatic update. To uninstall follow these instructions (it will only take you a couple of minutes)

Steps for Windows XP

To uninstall Internet Explorer 8, follow these steps:

Close all programs.

Click Start, (bottom left corner of your screen) and then click the Control Panel icon.

Click Add or Remove Programs.

In the list of currently installed programs, click Windows Internet
Explorer 8, and then click Remove.

Follow the instructions to uninstall Internet Explorer 8.

When the uninstall program is finished, restart your computer.
