Tesco Walkden suspected deceit
We received the following letter today from one of our readers Mrs Angela Hutton, and her experience of shopping at Tesco's, Walkden

On a shopping trip to Tesco, Walkden this morning, I put a tin of chopped tomatoes
in my trolley off a crowded shelf.

On getting to the till, I was informed by the checkout girl that it didnt have a bar code, it shouldn't be sold seperately as it was part of a combined purchase.

Another member of staff brought a tin back with a bar code on, scanned it, but gave me the one that didnthave a bar code ! so, Tesco can put it back on the shelf to sell agin.

Tesco have obviously broken down a bulk buy and are selling items seperately which is illegal.

I have the tin and reciept to prove it.

In todays world, when the main supermarkets are competing against each other and trying to "trick" customers with their deals, this is another example of deceipt.

Many thanks Mrs Angela Hutton
