Where is the grit for the pavements? It's like a bloody ice rink outside my house.

This is from the council's website www.salford.gov.uk/gritting-disruption.htm "The city's primary routes are being prioritised. Non-primary routes will not be gritted...... Pavements are not routinely treated and this will continue to be the case as grit supplies have to be used on primary routes." |

Apparently they only have the budget to do the main roads. It's not just in Salford. My parents live in Scotland and they're having the exact same problem there. It's leaving people literally housebound. |
