To all our members who are concerned about the identity of one "Jennifer Dixgood-Jones" who has been posting on SalfordOnline, the editorial team have received the following email from "Sarah Brown":
Hi.
I am the author of everything posted under the name Jennifer Dixgood-Jones on SalfordOnline.
Obviously you already know that JDJ is my pseudonym and that Sarah Brown is my real name.
By the time you get this email I'll be out of the UK so I'm sorry it's out of office hours and I can't call you babe.
I'm off trekking in the Himalayas for the next 6 months but when I get back I'd like to hook up with you and we'll have a coffee together (and maybe more).

Richard thats a noble statement BUT none of the abuse you get is over the abortion issue! Over you being a sexist homophone yes because you are "inventing" supporters to try and fool the public yes, because of your arrogance yes, because of your religious stance on what women can wear or what we can watch that is as bad as any Taliban controlled country then yes but just because of the abortion issue no. This reply may surprise you but... actually, I am prepared to 'be a fool for what I believe in.' Whether you agree with my politics or not, my politics address some very important issues which affect all of us. I fight for some very important causes, such as the pro life cause, and I am prepared to make sacrifices for important causes such as this. Today, over 500 of my fellow British citizens will be deliberately put to death because British law denies the right to life of unborn human beings. This is a serious business. This is good against evil in the political arena. As a committed campaigner I expect to get battered, bruised and bloodied in the fight. My personal reputation is of little importance to me, but what matters is that I pursue justice and if that means I have to live with people defaming me then I live with that burden. |

If I've understood things right, Carvath has previously said that this website hasn't treated him fairly according to its own rules for some time. Carvath has also said repeatedly that he thinks this site should drop the 'Comment by Guest' facility and only allow registered users to comment. Carvath strikes me as a straight bloke, keen to do the right thing. |

You're still all missing the point. You're just publicising him. He doesn't care what you say. He's not stupid. He'll have long since worked out the culture and demographic of this website, realised that this website's open door anonymous posting policy predisposes it to negative ranting comments, accepted that fact and carried on regardless in the knowledge that people will check him out elsewhere on the web and that many people will agree with him whether they comment on here or not. The posting policy of this website predisposes it to the 'lowest common denominator' of the mob and brings out the worst in the worst people. Carvath knows that and so do plenty of other sensible people in Salford (whether they're for or against Carvath). |

Another thing that Carvath completely fails to grasp in his rants below (yes Richard we ALL know it's you again yawn) with his mixture of self pity (everyone else has more money and support) and justifications for his repeated lies and deceit on here is very simple. This is the internet Richard and anyone can be on an equal footing to a certain extent, if the readers liked you and your policies they would back you or at least agree with some of what you say. You and Hazel Blears (or any other candidate) can have exactly the same say on here Richard and the readers of these types of blogs are far more likely to vote simply because they take the time to asses the arguments more than the majority do. In fact your pretty much the only candidate who is on here (probably because the others think anywhere you are is a waste of time) and still you have to forge virtually ALL your supporters! Err... NO. You've actually got it completely the wrong way round. Everything I write on the web is genuine and if people comment on my blog (or other blogs in relation to me) it is genuine. I don't have the party machine muscle to invoke 'rent-a-mob' tactics - i.e. getting your party pals to post here, there and everywhere in support of you (whether under real name or pseudonym) - but every candidate on a big party ticket does. It is the party candidates who go in for the 'rent-a-mob' tactics; indy candidates would struggle to do this whether they want to or not. The ultimate irony is that I'm being accused of doing something which is basically impossible! The cleanest candidate in this city is me... you know that because I don't have any money! You can't rent a mob without the money. Don't suppose anybody's got £13,000 they can lend me? |

Any intelligent person understands that since I'm not on a Labour/Tory/LibDem ticket I have no option other than to campaign in a different manner because I have to work with a different set of resources and I'm confronted by different media criteria. I've got nothing like the money and other resources of Hazel Blears and the Salford and Eccles constituency Labour Party - but that is who I'm contesting against. I'd much rather be on a big party ticket but I'm not, I'm the Indy and so 'guerilla tactics' and unorthodox methods are necessary. I'm fighting the good fight with the weapons I've got - not the weapons I'd like to have - and that's all any of us can do. |

Has anyone considered that Carvath is a spoof candidate, and the antics are actually being filmed for a reality type TV programme which would most likely be broadcast after voting finishes on election night. He takes a camcorder most places with him - the latest brothelwatch clip is entirely in keeping with a spoof - the clip cannot be taken seriously. You could see Carvath filming the content of some of these pages and relaying back his success at having roped people in. His antics have got a number of local councillors and/or PPC's to pass comment, and various higher profile blogs have picked up on him. It makes sense that Blears seat would be targetted for this as she has been in the spotlight over the last year. |

Salford Online team are NOT idiots, the readers of this site are NOT idiots but Carvath is treating everyone as if they are and is abusing both the integrity of this site and a position as a PPC. He is incapable of understanding the standards of behaviour expected of a politician or political atavist.
