Networking is a powerful and proven tool for growing and winning business. It is also an area where opportunities are lost because we don't handle things in the right way. It doesn't have to be like that! We are inviting you to join us on Tuesday 23 February when acclaimed corporate speaker and international lawyer Professor Arun Singh, OBE is holding a networking event with a difference as part of the LEAD programme. Not only will Arun help you to become a more effective networker, he will arm you with the skills and mindset to hit the ground running as soon as you leave the event. Indeed, if you wish, you can even practice the skills you learn on the day with the other directors and business owners in attendance. Arun will discuss and demonstrate the most effective ways to develop business including: * Removing the barriers to networking * Understanding the different types of networker * Finding and choosing the right events * Having your objectives in mind and ensuring you meet the right people * How to say the right things * The power of social networking - Linked In and Twitter * The importance of building relationships * Do what you say you will - always follow up. Arun's work for SME's includes working with managers on business skills such as leadership, impact and influence, team dynamics negotiations and conflict resolution. He was appointed an OBE by HM the Queen in January 1999 for services to international trade, investment and intercultural management. Places at this event are limited and expected to fill quickly. To reserve your place email Liz Walker or call her on 0161 295 2888. A complementary buffet and free car parking is provided for each person attending the LEAD Taster events.
