Uni seeks Head for Digital Strategy
The University of Salford is looking for a new Head of Digital Strategy.

The person will be tasked with "spearhead the digital transformation of the University", as well as "creating and leading a significant programme of work which spans all aspects of University life."

Full details of the job are given below:

Our strategy will overhaul all existing digital communication channels, therefore the post-holder will need the knowledge, experience, ability and drive to deliver a substantial programme of change. In addition you will possess the personal skills required to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including academic, administrative and research staff within the University, the wider student population as well as an extensive range of external partners and suppliers.

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Head of Digital Strategy will be responsible for developing and delivering creative and innovative digital communications programmes in support of the University of Salford's key aims and objectives. Typically, these programmes will be high profile, cross-university in nature – affecting current / future students, academic, research & administrative staff, and the wider reputation and standing of the University.

The key output for this role will be the evolution and delivery of a credible digital strategy. Crucially, our Head of Digital Strategy will inspire stakeholders within the University and beyond to buy into this strategy, stretching their thinking on the wide range of opportunities offered by increased digital engagement and ensuring the widest possible application of appropriate techniques. In conclusion, the Head of Digital Strategy will be a key player in helping the University investigate and establish new ways of teaching, learning & research.

About You

Candidates will be able to demonstrate experience of:

* Devising and implementing successful digital communications strategies for internal and external audiences as part of an integrated multi-channel approach.
* Leading large, multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex pan-organisational programmes with significant budgets.
* A wide range of web development applications, software languages and multi media platforms, ideally including Dream Weaver, HTML and Flash, Java Script and Adobe Flex.
