Oh baby! Nimans launches own brand monitor range
Salford-based Nimans is shouting about the latest addition to its expanding comms portfolio after launching its own brand baby monitor range called Hush.

Available in audio and video versions, Nimans has developed a lucrative new revenue stream, as it continues to expand from its traditional telecoms distribution roots.

The Hush Comfort Plus features a ‘talk to baby’ function, nightlight, alarm, temperature indicator and a 300 metre wireless range. The energy efficient technology utilises digital ‘noiseless’ radio communication and has an RRP of £49.99.

The Hush digital video baby monitor (RRP £119.99) benefits from a large 3.5” TFT display, LED night light, remote controlled lullabies, alarm, temperature indicator and ‘talk to baby’ facility. Both devices are available from many leading baby retailers, with high impact packaging created by the company’s in-house design team.

Baby monitors represent another growing area of business for Nimans through its dedicated retail channel. Other exclusive products include an innovative device that ‘educates’ babies in the womb called BabyPlus.

Nimans also supplies health and fitness products, kitchenware and specialist bedding/blankets as it continues to expand its 6,000 strong product portfolio – incorporating sophisticated telephone systems, cabling, novelty phones, payphones and public address systems.

Nimans’ Purchasing Director, Andy Winfield, says the successful move into the baby care market is a “natural extension” of its ever-evolving comms portfolio.

“Nimans has the insight and infrastructure in place to maintain its position at the forefront of the UK comms supply industry, based on a trading pedigree stretching back more than 30 years. It’s vital for us as a business to continue to expand and tap into associated markets.”
