Salfordonline.com is pleased to announce a FREE downloadable software programme enabling you to listen to the content of your computer screen, rather than have to read it. Just highlight the screen text, click a button then sit back and listen as the words are converted into speech.
Ideal for those suffering:
• Visual impairment
• Dyslexia
• Eye strain
• Poor reading skills
Also helps those for whom english is not a first language.
Just click on the Text To Speech icon at the top of the menu (next to our screen magnifier tool) and follow the simple download instructions. Make sure you choose the FREE DOWNLOAD version ( you can always upgrade later if you wish) and use speakers or headphones to hear content from your computer screen.
Once installed the software will work equally well with most programme applications including email, word documents and of course other websites.
The software, called Natural Reader, has been developed by NaturalSoft Ltd of Vancouver, Canada and is also available in versions offering more advanced features. More details available on the company website.
