Hug a Hovel at Islington Mill
An unusual evening is in store tomorrow evening at Islington Mill, Salford when the Hug a Hovel team will discussing their visions of place and space in the Engine House at 6:30pm

Sounds a fascinating evening so get down there and find out what its all about.

Hug a Hovel is a project run jointly by the Sustainable Neighbourhoods Action Group ( www.snag.org.uk ) and Manchester Creative Collectives ( www.mcc-hub.org ).

The ultimate aim of the project is to put empty and disused buildings in Manchester back into use and to give grass roots community groups a stable home by matchmaking the two.

The first stage of our project is refitting a cargo container as a "creative think tank" where anyone can come and share ideas about our city and how we can shape it.

The think tank will be located in Hulme for two weeks at the end of March and will become a hub for discussion about issues of place and space. We would like to get as many of you lovely creative people on board as possible to create designs for the cargo container, help refit it, market and promote the event and the project, as well as to create and discuss innovative visions of our ideal sustainable city.

The Hug a Hovel team will be presenting the project at the Mill on Thursday 4th March at 6.30pm in the Engine House. Please come along and find out how you can get involved in this exciting project.
