Salford fire crews set to shine for charity
Salford's firefighters will again take part in the Fire Fighters Charity National Car Wash this week.

On 17th September, this Saturday, they'll be working from Broughton, Agecroft and Eccles fire stations, and at Sainsbury's car park on Regent Road so why not have your local firefighters give your vehicle a good clean over?

This is a fantastic chance for you to have a chat with firefighters about keeping your family and home safe from fire whilst your car is having an autumn wash.

There is of course a serious reason why this event is taking place at many fire stations across the UK; to raise valuable funds for The Fire Fighters Charity. In return for cleaning your car you will have the opportunity to make a donation to the charity to show your support.

County Fire Officer and Chief Executive Steve McGuirk said: "The National Car Wash is a great opportunity for us to raise money for a worthwhile cause which has helped many fire service staff members, and their families, over the years. As in previous events of this kind we hope to see thousands of gleaming cars on the streets of Greater Manchester."
