Firework burns man's hand in Pendleton
Fire crews from Salford were called to an incident on Brydon Close, Pendleton Salford at around 6.30pm on Wednesday, November 2.

When they arrived at the scene firefighters were confronted by a 23-year-old man who had sustained serious lacerations and burns to his right hand as a result of a firework going off in his hand.

The man was in extreme pain and received first aid treatment from firefighters until paramedics arrived at the scene.

He was treated at the scene and later taken to hospital for further assessment.

Community Safety Message

Fireworks are extremely dangerous and should never be held in the hand. Always buy fireworks from a licensed retailer and stand well back once lit. Do not return to a firework that has not gone off.
