GMFRS Corporate Plan 2012-2015
This video gives a brief overview of our Corporate Plan 2012-2015. The plan reflects our shared aims and priorities based on our response to the significant reduction in our government grant.

In April 2011 we published our Corporate Plan 2011-2014. The plan reflected our shared aims and priorities based on our response to the significant reduction in our government grant.

The draft Corporate Plan 2012-2015 provides greater detail of the changes we are proposing to our operational arrangements, ensuring that we can deploy our resources flexibly, whilst still meeting the demands upon them - so that we can continue to provide an effective service to the people of Greater Manchester.

The plan offers a suggestion to how we might deal with the challenging financial climate, which includes a reduction of between 25% and 40% over the next four years. These figures translate to funding cuts of between £18 and £25 million.

We have also written our draft Operational Strategy 2011-2014 (PDF: 22.5MB). This outlines in more detail some of the proposals that are made in the Corporate Plan 2012-2015.

Both documents are in draft at the moment. They are not a definitive 'this is what we're doing', and so we urge opinions and comments on these proposals during the twelve week consultation period, which runs until January 23, 2012. Scroll to the bottom of this page to see how to contact us or complete our online survey.
