Useful tips on staying safe and warm
The following advice has been issued for older people on how to stay and warm during the coldest spell for over 20 years

Enure you have regular hot meals and hot drinks

Take some physical activity: if you have difficulty walking, moving your arms and legs and wiggling toes can help

Wear warm clothing, several layers of thinner clothes is best

Make sure your living room is warm enough. The recommended temperature for older people is 21 c.

Neighbours! Check on older residents, ensuring that they are warm enough and have good supplies of food and hot drinks.
