Check Your Shed
Salford North Neighbourhood Policing Team are advising residents in the Swinton/Clifton and Pendlebury areas to check their sheds The advice comes after a number of sheds have been broken into and property stolen. Always check the condition of your shed, it's no use fitting state of the art locks if the wood around the lock won't withstand an attack. Use a lock and hasp device with a rust proof padlock. DIY stores also stock a variety of shed alarms which can produce up to 120 decibels of noise. Consider marking your tools by etching in your house number and post code. Any item, such as a lawnmower, will have a serial number and can be registered, free of charge, on www.immobilise.con
