Possible Bogus Gardener reported in Pendleton
Police are advising residents to be careful when engaging with traders on the doorstep. The advice comes after a male offered to re-turf a garden, asked for money up front, promising to return later. The male didn't return. The offender is described as white male, thin, welsh accent, wearing light pants, jumper and work boots. The best advice, from Trading Standards, is not to employ anyone who cold calls at the door. Most decent companies do not need to look for work in this way.
