Salford police issue burglar warning
Police in Salford are warning residents to secure their windows and doors following an increase in burglaries across Salford West (Little Hulton, Walkden, Worsley and Boothstown) Most of the incidents are happening in the afternoon with offenders lifting fence panels and then smashing windows to gain entry. In other incidents offenders are simply walking through unlocked doors. Residents can help by reporting any suspicious incidents to the police or Crimestoppers (0800 555 111) and by locking front and back doors, even when they are at home. Also take extra care to tidy the garden, put tools away and try to remove any loose stones which can be used by burglars. Due to problems with spam only SalfordOnline members can now leave comments.
