Doorstep Criminals active in Ellesmere Park
Salford Police are warning older residents to be extra careful when answering the door after an incident in Ellesmere Park yesterday. 2 offenders knocked on a front door claiming that sewerage had got into the water and they needed to check the water supply. One male kept the occupant talking in the kitchen while the other searched other rooms in the house. Both males were described as well dressed and spoke with an accent. One was described as beng in his late 20's to early 30's, slim build with dark hair. The 2nd male was described as being approx 22yrs old and 5ft 9" tall. PLEASE REMEMBER - if you are not sure who is at the door, don't answer it. The water board doesnot exist, United Utilities are our only water provider and do not need to come into your home to check the water supply.
