Little Hulton nursery quizzes cops
Nursery children have given officers from Greater Manchester Police’s Salford Division a grilling and found out more about their role within the community.

St Paul’s Peel Primary School nursery in Little Hulton received a visit from officers from Salford West Neighbourhood Policing Team to face questions and talk to children about their job and what they do in the community.

The children also had the chance to handle handcuffs as well as exploring the inside and out of a police van, complete with flashing blue lights.

Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) Stephen Broome said: “It was fantastic to see the children’s faces light up when we arrived in the police van.

"These children are the area's future so it’s important they learn what role we play within the community and we try and establish trust from an early age.”

Jill Kendall from St Paul’s Peel Primary School nursery said: “The children have been learning all about the emergency services and the visit allowed them to construct their own questions and develop their thinking skills.

"They really enjoyed the time the officers spent with them and they couldn’t wait to get home and tell their families about their experience.”
