Volunteer for Salford police
On Monday 22nd March, 2010, the Police Authority is holding an information session in the Salford Suite at Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, for those who are interested in becoming a GMPA volunteer.

There are four schemes in total:

Appropriate Adults
Greater Manchester Police Authority (GMPA) co-ordinates four volunteer schemes which provide local people with an opportunity to get involved in policing.

They are:

*Independent Custody Visitors
*Independent Advisory Groups
*Animal Welfare Visiting
*Appropriate Adults

The session starts at 6 pm and there will be a presentation about each of the schemes and the opportunities which currently exist. If you are interested in attending please email gmpa.volunteers@gmpa.gov.uk to confirm attendance. Alternatively, phone on 0161 793 2920.
