I remember it well, called in the Langworthy first for a beer before going to the Willows. This site is crying out for a forum.

I was born in salford and spent the first few years in Oedsall attending the then Nashville Street School then we moved to the new Trinity Estate and I then went to St Matthias School and North Salford School. What about our great youth clubs, North Salford YC, The Peter Green and West Salford and does anyone remember the Wood Street Mission just over the border in Manchester? did any of you go to the Salford Rugby Club on a Monday night for the Disco in the 1970's?

I lived in Salford for ten years, Regent Road school in the late 50's, Pendleton High in the early 60's and then expelled for bad behaviour and taken in at Clarendon in 1965. I left Salford in 1967 when I joined the army and was recently there for work. What a wonderful vibrant city it is now with so much going on there. Not like the Salford I remember.

Great site particularly the photo collection. We Salfordians deserve a site to ourselves at last. I lived on West Ashton St from 1948 till 1961. Came to Thailand in 1971. Anyone remembers me email garnethoyes@gmail.com

This is a fantastic site! I was looking forward to a good moan but quite frankly the range of topics and the quality of the content is amazing. Well done Salfordonline. Now please do something I can be grumpy about!
