Come and share your experiences and memories of your time at the school. The School has now been demolished but there is a wonderful collection of photographs from the school on the forum.... for more information or anyone wishing to join please email me at Valbroadbent3567@aol.com
Have just found this site and wondered if there was anyone out there who went to Godfrey Ermans in 1938 to 1942.I lived in Peel Green Road.My name then was Alison Flannery.
It is great to catch up with the events happening in Salford. It makes me feel as though I am closer to "home". I left Salford when I was very young but have visited several times and feel very much at home there. My dad Walter Olive ,owned a shop at Ashton New Rd Bewick back in the late forties. It was a toy shop I wonder if anyone remembers it.Also are there any relatives of Stella Olive nee Orford out there, sadly Stella died in 1944 after giving birth to a baby at Hope Hospital.I would love to hear from anyone who may remember them. Regards Anne Hand nee Olive.
Just found this site, excellent. The article on Devils Advocate is so true, the writer has hit the nail on the head, so to speak, if that is now classed as politically correct. As for the rest, brilliant and well thought of.
