Irlam thank you
Residents of the Moss Vale estate in Irlam enjoyed a thank you event which took place on Saturday 17th September.

The event held was to thank all the residents of the Moss Vale estate for all their hard work and cooperation during the Irlam gas explosion. During a very difficult time the community pulled together and showed community spirit is still very much alive in Irlam.

The residents enjoyed a fun packed day and the event had an excellent turnout despite the weather. Activities such as jewellery making, face painting, arts and crafts, a petting zoo and a free BBQ was enjoyed by all.

Speeches were made by the Mayor Councillor E Burgoyne and Councillor J Kean. Councillor Potter, Councillor R Jones, Councillor Christine Hudson, Tom kean Deputy Chair of Irlam and Cadishead LAP and Chief Executive Tim Doyle all turned up to show their support.

The event was a great success and reiterated the strength of the Irlam community.
