Several notices appeared a few days ago around and about Winton promoting an event taking place in The Brown Cow, SWINTON. Surely someone noticed this elementary mistake. A simple single brush stroke from a can of white paint would have been all it takes to correct the situation. Why was this not done?

We've added some new photographs taken in the underground canal system entered at Worsley Delf. There is no description as yet as we hoped we could learn some facts from you. Take a look and see if you can add anything about the place or the people. You can find these photographs by clicking on LOCAL PHOTOS in the side menu then LOCAL PHOTO ARCHIVE. Select BROWSE to find WORSLEY and the current location of the photographs is on pages 8 and 9 which you can select at the top of the page. To give you more information on screen, try pressing F11 once. (Pressing F11 again will restore your settings)

We have added a number of photographs and documents from the Twinning Ceremony held in Narbonne on 4th April 1972. The Mayor of Eccles, Councillor Roy Rhodes headed the Eccles delegation and was accompanied by his wife, Mr Mitchell, the Town Clerk and his wife. These can all be found in 'Local Photos' under 'Eccles' and all start with 'Narbonne'. Use the search facility and enter 'NARBONNE'. What has happened to the twin link?
