Action against Salford's Anti-social behaviour problemby Mark Bright
Have you ever felt powerless to do anything about graffiti, vandalism or noisy neighbours? Anyone with an interest in Anti-Social Behaviour, the law, and what residents can and can't do should check out this event at the Lowry. Held in the Compass Room at the theatre on Salford Quays, the event aims to help give people the confidence and know-how to join together with their neighbours, police, council staff and other agencies to take a stand against anti-social behaviour. ASB events, who are running the meeting, are working on behalf of the Department for Communities and Local Governmentto help residents and front-line staff tackle anti-social behaviour. Mike Sherwood, a spokesperson for ASB events, said: "This is an issue that can gnaw away at the fabric of strong communities. "They will offer practical advice to local people and front-line staff on what can be done and how they can work together to tackle neighbourhood anti-social behaviour issues, as well as passing on lessons from those who have succeeded in bringing about change through the power of collective action."
