Salford's lawyers speak out on courts
by Tom Rodgers
Two of the criminal defence lawyers at Morgan Brown & Cahill Solicitors’ spoke to SalfordOnline this week about the potential impact of collapsing Salford's courts with Manchester. Capacity is a huge issue at Manchester already - could the courts across the Irwell sustain the number of cases, witnesses and defendents that would come to it were Bexley Square to lose its courts? Would justice really still be served? Could a move to Manchester jeopardise the firm's ability to work within the Legal Aid system? And would lower-income people lose out as a result? Many thanks to Lyndsey Brown and Paul Smith for agreeing to speak on this issue. Due to problems with spam only SalfordOnline members can now leave comments.
