U-turn On Pension Holiday Plans
Stay-at-home mothers and other people who take national insurance holidays will not be able to make up the shortfall in their pension, the Times reports.
Pensions minister Lord McKenzie of Luton told peers that the government would not be backing an amendment to legislation that would have allowed the difference to have been made up at a later date.
