New iPhone app puts SEAT fans in pole position
SEAT is putting iPhone users in the driving seat with the release of the latest version of its popular, and free, SEAT Race game.

The latest iteration of the iPhone and iPod Touch app offers numerous improvements including the facility for players to share results on their Facebook wall and challenge other Facebook users to a race.

The SEAT Cupra Race story on iPhone began in 2009 with the launch of the original Ibiza Cupra race game. This was soon followed by the debut of the Leon Cupra edition and, together, these apps have achieved almost a million downloads making them one of the most popular in Apple's category of free racing games.

The latest version - renamed SEAT Race - is now even more dynamic, exciting and engaging and boasts a new layout and design. Among the new features is the arrival of a fresh SEAT model, the Ibiza ST, and a new camera view from the cockpit.

And players get the chance to try even more circuits with the addition of two new tracks. ‘Alpine' is, unsurprisingly, a mountain route where the player has to prove his, or her, skills on a twisting road. Alternatively, ‘Racing' offers a race circuit experience to get the adrenaline pumping.

To add yet more excitement a new competition section called Full Throttle has been introduced in the game's Championship mode. Users can access the code to unlock the Championship mode exclusively via the Club SEAT website at www.club-seat.co.uk. It's free to join Club SEAT, and aside from the app code there are numerous great features, articles and competitions to interest SEAT aficionados.

Following the unparalleled success of the existing iPhone apps, SEAT is continuing to invest in games and content for mobile phones. The Spanish car maker's Digital Marketing Manager in the UK, Andy Guy, explained: ‘The download figures for our range of racing games speak for themselves.

‘We're thrilled with the success of this series of apps and I'm sure this impressive new game, which adds both extra tracks and an exciting new SEAT car, will quickly take our download total to more than a million.'
