Change your life in Salford
A free course is running throughout February in Salford to help manage you stress, improve your self esteem and set goals to change your life for the better. The Keeping Well course is designed to help people make positive changes in their lives and adopt healthier lifestyles. The courses run for six 90 minute sessions and each week will cover a different topic designed to support you to manage your health. The interactive sessions will help you to: • Learn how to set realistic and achievable goals for change. • Explore how to increase confidence, self esteem and become more assertive. • Develop ways of coping with stress, managing anxiety and learn relaxation techniques. • Understand how to use health services appropriately and manage minor ailments. Participants completing the course are also offered the option of going on to a step-up course around self management of long-term conditions.
