Church cleans up Ordsall
Around 100 members of the World Mission Society Church of God in Manchester cleaned around Ordsall area in Salford. On Sunday 29th January, parishioners cleaned Elmira way, the back of Tesco and Fit City Ordsall, removing any bulk rubbish such as woods and discarded metal. Despite being in a residential area, the land is privately owned and is therefore not the responsibility of the council. The Church of God carried out cleaning in morning and afternoon and collected around 150 bags of litter. The World Mission Society Church of God have also recently helped with the cleaning of the aftermath of the Chinatown festival (28th-29th January). The Church of God says that the purpose of this cleanup campaign is to “practice the love of the Passover of the new covenant, which was restored by Ahnsahnghong the Christ who came a second time". The church is active in over 150 countries worldwide and will be carrying out more cleanups in Manchester and another in the Salford area this coming Sunday 5th February.
