Alley Greening Competition for residents in Barton

Turn your gated alley into a green oasis.

The Barton neighbourhood has won National Lottery Funding to carry out Alley Greening projects.

Your alley could be chosen as part of a competition to win up to £5,000 of this funding. This could create:

-Places to grow your own fruit and vegetables

-A green and attractive place to meet your neighbours

-A safe place for you to enjoy and relax in

This will be an opportunity to work with your local community to improve your alley.

Regardless of whether you win, you will be offered:

-Training workshops to help you fill in the competition application form

-Training workshops on how to build a sustainable project and involve your neighbours

If you are interested, please come along to Rainbow Rooms, 259 Liverpool Road, Eccles, Salford, M30 0QN on either: Wednesday 18th July 2012 from 12:30pm-3pm Or Thursday 19th July 2012 from 5pm - 7:30pm
