Political profile: Barbara Keeley MP

by Tom Rodgers

Barbara Keeley became the member of parliament representing the Worsley constituency in 2005.

She is responsible for Worsley, Boothstown and Ellenbrook, Walkden and Little Hulton.

This is a small snippet of the full interview, to give you an idea of Barbara's response to local issues.

You'll soon be able to watch the full interview on our Youtube page.

The questions include:

Now that the TIF bid has been rejected, what's the best way to get funding to improve public transport in Worsley?

Is PFI (Privately financed, rather than publicly funded, building) always the best way forward for building in Salford?

What are you doing to help people hit hard by the economic downturn?

Pretty good interview but I think BK fudged the PFI issue. It's a disgraceful waste of public money and when you consider the billions this government can find when it wants to, why can't it fund the country's own infastructure?
