Political profile: Iain Lindley
The new prospective parliamentary candidate for Worsley and Eccles South is Iain Lindley, the councillor for Walkden and a 25 year old graduate of Walkden School, Eccles College and later, York University.

He would also be the first Conservative MP in Salford since 1935 if he won against the current MP, Barbara Keeley, who took over in 2005.

We caught up with him in Walkden to discuss his priorites for the area, should he be elected.

We discuss the St George controversy, the Eccles College merger as well as the need to balance investment in the area with the wishes of local residents.
