Update: BNP to stand in Pendlebury by-election

The British National Party will field a candidate in the Pendlebury by-election, set for 19th March. The by-election was called after Labour councillor Maureen Lea passed away on 17th January.

The previous candidate, Wayne Taylor, came fourth out of five candidates in the May 2008 council elections, only beating independent candidate Stuart Clemins by 140 votes.

Salford area organiser Eddy O’Sullivan said "The political climate has changed. People didn't believe us before when we said that British people are being put to the back of the queue when it comes to housing."

O'Sullivan cites the recent Daily Mail article by journalist Sue Reid, which investigated Salford's housing policy. He said: "She allegedly found that an Angolan family "straight off the boat" went straight to the front of the queue and local people are being told that they'll have to wait 10 years or more to get houses."

O'Sullivan also said that Gordon Brown's promise of British jobs for British workers was a blatant lie. He added: "We've never changed our message to suit the headlines. People are just feeling powerless and we can provide a change."

Councillor Barry Warner, the lead member for Culture and Sport at Salford council currently holds the other Pendlebury seat.

The BNP stood in five other wards in the last local elections: Claremont, Irwell Riverside, Little Hulton, Winton and Walkden South.

Comment by Guest  26th March 2009 According to local newspaper reports, Christopher Dowsett wanted to enrol his partner and their one-year-old daughter at Firth Park Surgery in Sheffield. Mr Dowsett was already registered as a patient at the surgery and when his girlfriend and child moved from Edlington, Doncaster, to live with him he went to get them registered too. His partner had been suffering from a rash which she needed treatment for, and his daughter was due to have her MMR vaccinations — but the couple were told they could not be registered on the new patient list as the practice was closed.

We came 3rd beating the lib dems into 4th place not bad after 3rd attempt. When the conservatives realise that the only way they will win the pendlebury ward is to join The British National Party we will get a councillor in the Kremlin. Conservatives of old was patriotic just like us they’ve just lost their way, so you see we will have more candidates in next year’s local elections then you will see how popular we are.

Not my cup of tea, you talk about origins of the Second World War being wrapped up with the First World War. You sure your not Darwin reincarnated? I only find lies uncomfortable; you see the world war one was started by teenager’s world war two by adults for two completely different issues. You cant be selective about which bits of history you will allow to be taught, because it is often inter connected. For example the origins of world war 2 in world war 1. But if world war once is to be dismissed because you find some certain truths uncomfortable, you cannot have a full appreciation of world war 2. To add insult to injury, his girlfreind left him for a black man citing sexual superiority of black men over white men. he found an outlet for his anger through the BNP, where violent conduct was OK. Unfortunately he kept getting into trouble, and he realised that at the end of the day, his problem wasnt solved, it was still there. He took a courageous step and sought psychotherpy, he bottomed out his anger, left the BNP and got on with the rest of his life. Lovely happy ending

When the glorious day arrives, of course everything changes as in 1984, we are all equal but some are more equal than others, the foot soldiers are dumped and the leaders establish themselves in a palace akin to the Kremlin, whilst the little foot soldier is dumped and expected to be grateful for a bowl of cabbage and an early death in some futile war. Dont try and challenge them tho, or your children will be denied a university place as a punishment and you will be sentenced to hard labour. This is the reality of what you are voting for. Whatever two consenting adults do in the privacy of their own bedroom is of no corncern to anybody but themselves. This Saturday for the first time ever I met the bnp people in the shop i work in. In fact I met about 10 or 20 apparently they were campaigning in the local election. What surprised me the most was the amount of local people involved who I actually recognised, I never knew there was any bnp in pendlebury till Saturday. Also all of them were very polite nothing like what i expected from the television at all. I don,t usually pay any attention to politics because I,ve lived through Thatchers government and then when we got a labour government and thought our prayers had being answered, look what they did too us. So I was pretty fed up with it all in my mind their all the same just in it for themselves. However after meeting the bnp people I found normal people just like myself, i don,t remember meeting eddie o sullivan but if i did I apologise but Mr O sullivan can count on my vote . It proves that they are still nazis. The sign on the door says No Blacks. Inside, BNP members sing racist and pro-Nazi songs. They glorify the Holocaust, and call for blacks to be killed. Comment by Guest  18th February 2009 Im a British National Party activist and I make no apoplgies for it.A couple of years ago I travelled to Leicestershire to help in a by election.At the first door that I knocked on I was greeted by a middle aged chap.I explained that I was canvassing on behalf of the British National Party candidate and informed him of the local issues we were campaining on.The gentleman then said to me that he was a liberal and always voted lib dem.We discussed other issues before I asked him what he thought about the state the country was in.He thought for a while and said to me in a whisper"I'm not a racist but..."All of his concerns were issues that the British National Party campaigns against at a national level.When I informed him of this,he gladly took our leaflet and a copy of our monthly newspaper The Voice of Freedom.Now this man,throughout most of his life,truly believed that he was a liberal.His true feelings had up until now had been supressed.Supressed because he did not want to be persieved as a racist.Supressed by years of conditioning.As the BNP grows in size and success many more "liberals" will come to realise that they too have the courage to embrace their true feelings and that they have a home within the British National Party.Beleive me I didn't join on a whim,I spent months researching political parties, as I knew that I just couldn't stand by and watch my country fall to it's knees.I happened upon the BNP website and read their manifesto and it was like I was reading a document that I could have written myself.Needless to say I attended a meeting and was so impressed I joined a few weeks later.The British National Party are neither racist of nazis.Their environmental policies put the Greens to shame.I hope that after some soul searching you will begin to see through the false media portrayal af our party, take a look at our website and who knows,you may realise that you are not a liberal either.

I work with disadvantaged kids and it's the English ones who are lazy, complain all the time and can't be bothered to get off their arse and do anything about it. Comment by Guest  17th February 2009 The Joint Tenancy agreement is, as I have already stated, concerned with the housing of asylum seekers.It is a very sensertive document (for the government), because it lists all of the white goods,free telephone line and calls, free rent, internet access, TVs, computers etc, even a free window cleaning service, total revamp of any property, including new central heating systems, in which they are housed.But of course it is NOT free, you and I the good old tax payer have to foot the bill.All of this while many of our old people dare not put on the heating during the recent bout of sever weather.Also the International laws on asylum states that sancuary should be sought in the first safe country that they get to.So by this reckoning anyone seeking asylum in Britain, from some far flung land is indeed bogus and should be removed.The comment about ecomonic migrants is a very valid one.Britain and the West HAVE raped the third world of it's doctors etc.These doctors, through the lure of money, deserted their own desperate people and these doctors should be utterly ashamed of their actions.It is nonsense to say that the NHS would crumble without these disloyal people.Our own fuly trained doctors are being FORCED abroad due to the influx of these supposed caring foriegn doctors.

The principle is different to the practice. the joint tenancy agreement refers to asylum seekers only, which are different to those with refugee status and other immigrants, black or white. For a start i predict civil unrest, disobedience, even civil war.
