To those still struggling to see the video past the one minute mark - it works in Online FLV Player. I tried to post the link yesterday but apparently comments are filtered out if they have URLs in (to stop spamming I guess). The bit that's triggering the filter is "h t t p" (without spaces) so I've edited it to h**p. When you copy and paste the URL you'll have to edit "h**p" to "h t t p" (again, without spaces) and it appears twice in the link. Sorry for the messing about and here's the edited link: h**p://www.onlineflvplayer.com/?video=h**p://www.salfordonline.com/videofiles/2carvath.flv

"I would vote for him to." , "I will to." "Me to about time someone spoke out." I'm trying to work out what's most stupid here, that this person agrees with Carvath, that he doesn't know the difference between to and too or that he makes the same mistake in three posts he's trying to pass off as from different people! LOL

Anyone else noticed that none of the "supporters" (yes I think it's all the same person too and his initials are probably RC) are making any detailed reasoning of what exactly they find attractive in his policies ?? ""I like him me he talks good about morals and stuff"" or "" I will vote for him, he speaks out on things"" seems to be the limit of the comments, a suspicious mind might think it's someone trying to disguise his style of writing!! Ps If you say he speaks out then it would be helpful to know about what or is the fact he can speak at all impressive ???

Speaking of glitches (I'm not here to just be critical because I really like this site, however...) some of these comments are being submitted twice for some reason. It happened to me too and I definitely only pressed "leave comment" once

I don't why the real Carvath would pretend to be an ill-educated buffoon to big himself up. "Look, I have the support of morons". It's not a great selling point is it? lol. I think his "supporter" is a garden-variety troll (although "garden-variety troll" is a bit of a strange mixed-metaphor =) )

Is anyone else having problems seeing the whole video? I'm seeing it fine in Firefox, the latest update of Internet Explorer has been causing some problems with Flash video. Please let us know at info@salfordonline.com if you're still having difficulty.

I know that. Thanks. Most video sites, though, don't auto-run videos so you have to hit pause if you don't want to watch it. Again, it's not a MAJOR thing, I'd just prefer if it didn't auto-run.

Re the video playing everytime you visit the page, the answer is to stop the video player yourself, just click the 2 vertical black lines at the beginning of the grey bar below the video screen

Hello troll. It's screamingly obvious you wrote all four of these last comments. That is all.

Me to about time someone spoke out.

Report as offensive or innapropriate Comment by Guest  2nd July 2009
I will to.

Report as offensive or innapropriate Comment by Guest  2nd July 2009
And me.

Report as offensive or innapropriate Comment by Guest  2nd July 2009
I would vote for him to.

Report as offensive or innapropriate Comment by Guest  2nd July 2009
Tom - do you need to have it set so that the video auto-runs every time you open or refresh this page? If I'm just looking at new comments, I don't really need to hear the start of the interview every time and have to hit pause. It's not a major thing but I'd prefer if it didn't auto-run. Thanks.

It's still conking out at 1 minute 11 seconds for me. Have some of you been able to watch the whole thing? I wonder if it depends what browser or version of flash player you have or something?

Ok then so your either a homophobe, Richard Carvath or Richard Carvaths mother. Either way I'm sure your eloquence in your support for his position in this section will be a great boost to his campaign. (In fact if your not the man himself or a close relative then you may well have doubled the number of his supporters!)

All of it!

Out of curiosity what part of this particular bit of the interview won you over ? The detail he went into to excuse his homophobia (I particularly loved the part where he said it was in their best interests to be removed from public life and criminalized!) or was it the panicky rat-trapped-in-a-corner behavior when he was asked a slightly awkward question? Was it the part where he explains that all homosexuals are depressed disease ridden perverts who have to wear incontinence pads because of the damage they do to each other while having sex? Please do let us know it would be fascinating to hear why it was this particular section that won you over.

Well said Richard, you have got my vote.

I do wish that he had been asked why he feels it necessary to regularly use deeply offensive and insulting terms like "Bum lickers" "Hypocritical perverts" "Potential child molesters" etc etc etc Oh and there are laws that cover things like cottaging and public acts of sex Richard so why don't you just come out (slip of the tongue) and say that you would have laws to stop members of the same sex holding hands and god forbid (aging a slip of the tongue) kissing each other. I can see it now a pair of lesbians kiss goodbye on a train platform and suddenly the Carvathian police absail in from choppers and burst through windows before dragging the pair off before a judge and sentencing them to five years of hard labour!

Good lord does his hypocrisy have no bounds at all! He trots out every negative stereotype for gay men possible (Aids ridden, disturbed , perverts in need of healing is his favorite comment! ) then he has the gall to suggest that to call his views extreme in a deep south way it to stereotype him !!!! I appolagise for the earlier criticism Tom this section shows a glimpse of some of his true views. He honestly thinks that the way he sees the world is common! the truth is that the nearest country to many of Mr Carvaths view on many things like the role of women criminalizing sexuality and extreme censorship not to forget teaching the religious view over the scientific ones to our children is probably Afghanistan. That isn't a throwaway comment by the way it's very much based on his actual comments.

Right so Carvath wants to make homosexuality illegal. he looks very uncomfortable, perhaps he has some leanings that way himself?
