LitterAction in Eccles
Janet Regan has begun a campaign to clean up the streets - and she wants you to join her.

LitterAction is a site where community minded people can come together and join, or even form, groups to tackle the blight of litter that's sweeping through our towns.

Janet, whose Eccles group is currently the only one operating across Greater Manchester, said: "We've lost that pride we once had in our communities."

Clarendon Street in Eccles is apparently a real mess, attracting fly-tippers to the area, and increasing the litter that's dropped there. It's a vicious cycle, says Janet.

Only volunteers can help now, so if you want to make your local area a better and cleaner place to live, follow the link below
