   Support a Salford charity at the Great Manchester 10kThe NSPCC are calling on people in Salford to get on their running shoes for the Great Manchester Run 2010. Join the NSPCC’s Team GO and you will be running for children – Sign up today and make your place count!
This year’s BUPA Great Manchester Run will take place on Sunday 16 May 2010 and the NSPCC has a number of places still available for runners who want to take on the challenge of the North West’s biggest 10k event through the City of Manchester. The charity has a number of Golden Bond places on offer on a first come, first served basis. There will be a £30 registration fee and a minimum sponsorship of £200. The NSPCC can guarantee you a place on the starting line and give you the satisfaction of doing it for a fantastic cause. If you’ve already secured your own place then why not run for the NSPCC and be part of our team. We would love you to help raise money so call today for your free fundraising pack. The money raised will go towards the NSPCC’s Child’s Voice Appeal. With public support, the appeal will help to expand the NSPCC’s vital helpline services – ChildLine the UK’s free, confidential 24-hour helpline for children, including the ChildLine base in Manchester City Centre, and the NSPCC Helpline for adults concerned about a child, including the Helpline based at Salford Quays. Adina Watt, NSPCC corporate fundraising manager in Manchester, said: “Last year was a great year for the NSPCC, with our Great Manchester Runners raising a record amount and we hope this year the NSPCC team will be bigger and better than ever before. We’ve already had a lot of interest from our supporters, but we do have guaranteed places left on our team, so we would urge anyone who wants to help this great cause to step up.
