Music Industry Learning needs you

Chris Brophy, managing director of Salford music academy, Music Industry Learning, is looking for volunteers to help spread the good word.

Music Industry Learning is the world's first virtual music academy. All the teaching is done through course materials using Skype, telephone, email, and MSN messenger, and the course is completely free for unemployed people in Salford.

Chris commented: "This is a great opportunity to work within a friendly fast growing organisation in your local area. No matter what skills you have, you could be helping Music Industry Learning provide this fantastic service FREE to Salford residents.

"Maybe you’re good with Word, Excel, Facebook, MySpace or have existing music industry skills that you think could be used to train those wanting a career in the music biz. Get in touch with Chris on 0161 788 8300 or email with a little about yourself.

For pupils or students who need work experience in PR, marketing or communications, or want to get into the music business, this could be your ideal opportunity.

"My volunteers may only need to spare an hour a week," says Chris, "but there's so many avenues for promoting Music Industy Learning, and we need to cover them all."
