By Tony Flynn
At last the wait is over and the Inflictors debut CD is available and believe me the wait was worth every minute. Eleven tracks of driving rock, blues, americana fused together with a driving beat, all killers no fillers as the saying goes.
The band are fortunate to have five highly talented musicians who merge seamlessly into one to produce classic tunes.
Led by charismatic front man Cameron who is supported by Jim Wattts, Simon Jones, Brian Fanning and Joey Salmon they rip through almost every track on the CD.
Listen to the majesty of Higher and Superior, Way Down, The Whip and try not to be impressed, and you will fail miserably, the boys just ooze class, confidence and style.
I have to say that this is probably the best CD that I have had the pleasure of listening to this year, having seen them live on several occasions, well they just keep on getting better and better.
Surely bigger things now await the band, I would advise you to see this band as soon as you can before they are snapped up by the big boys and signed to one of the major labels, they really are that good.

A cross between The Kings of Leon and The Coral which to my ears is no bad thing.
What are Trigger Happy doing at the moment seems to have all gone quiet, hope everything is OK.... |

Listen to this album and I guarantee The Inflictors will Inflict you. Its briliant, best thing Ive heard in a long time, put it on full blast and seen if you can keep your feet still; I very much doubt it. |

Does anyone remember Mr Ed, he could talk, and The Inflictors can't half play !!!!! This band's punk attitude and full on in yer face tunes is some of the best music I've heard in a long time. Remember feeling good when I heard the first Kings of Leon album, raw, snappy good songs, good riffs, everything you want from a rock n roll band. The Inflictors ARE a rock n roll band, and are not trying to be anything else ! Thats the beauty of it, don't you get it !!!!!!!! |

If a horse can talk! can a white man sing the blooze?, Dunno but the Inflicators sure can try, but remember boys, the big bad wolf is going to eat you up ( no not Simon Cowell ) but some one just up the road from you. |

mark e smith will play with anyone......because he can't play a note,he even did something with that ted blarny which by the way was one of the worst things ive had to subject my ears too..........and they did a world cup song, never laughed so much in my life....its very sad to see someone trying to have a go at something so good ,raw,fresh..........instead we have a man who has been hanging on the coat tails of the so called smithy, who was fresh himself about 1979........take a side step morons and listen to something thats pure rock n roll. |

hoped to find out where I can get my mits on the new album but see that mr ed and his talking horses (smith and peculiar) are orchestrating another mind game publicity stunt by shanghaiing another bands review.. where can I get a couple of copies??? |
Comment by Guest 3rd November 2010
Mr Ed? whats the american talking horse got to do with Smithy and the fab Inflictors Is this some sly underground slang word for some sort of stimulant, if so pass it round on the left hand side. |

what have the inflictors got to do with the fall or mark e smith,is because two of them were in the fall? half of manchesters been in the fall ,they say in london your never more than two feet away from a RAT,in manchester your never more than two feet from an ex fall member .....mark e smiths not good enough to tune the inflictors guitars.......forgot he can't play or tune one ,he plays a good drunk . |
Comment by Guest 3rd November 2010
(re last comment) if it's not about liking them why would you follow them and comment? are you a fall fan? It's a bit man and city!! not a patch on united but city fans know more about united!!... now where do I get the album???? |
Comment by Guest 2nd November 2010
Its not about liking them them you plonker, its just that they are not a patch on Smithy, just like Hermans Hermits were not a patch on the Beatles, so chill out and take them for what they are, a bunch a middle aged men who like to play a bit, and will never rip up any trees, see you at the Weaste next time and this time its your round. |

re last comment..keep your hat on and walk away if you dont like THE INFLICTORS Ive seen them and they are great ! from the spy |
Comment by Guest 1st November 2010
If the Inflictors make half as much impact on the music scene as Mr Smith as done then and only then will I take my hat off to them. At Least Smithy was trying to be original and not afraid to experiment with new sounds, and he gave many a leg up the muscial ladder to local youths ( just ask a couple of the inflictors ) Where as the Inflictors are just churning out " them ole dirty blues" with just a little slide thrown in, anyone who as mastered the basics on the instrument will confirm that its just a case of " the Emperors new clothes" |

To quote Mr Flynn "The band are fortunate to have five highly talented musicians who merge seamlessly into one to produce classic tunes". so what has mark E smith got to do with anything?
marky boy is a talentless brat who got lucky surfing on the backs of talented musicians like the INFLICTORS.. apprentices ma arse!! |
