Salford Salutes Dylan - Ghost of Electricity
by Tom Rodgers

The next (and long-awaited) Salford Salutes Dylan (SSD) night at the Kings Arms has been announced: 'Ghost of Electricity' will take place on 4th October from 2pm - 6pm.

Major music fans rub shoulders with the Dylan-uninitiated at SSD and entry to the Bloom Street event will be £3. As ever, all profits from the charity night go to the Eccles Chatsworth School.

A stellar line-up of bands taking on Robert Zimmerman covers and interpretations includes The Jannocks, The Zimmermen, Charles Hawtrey and The Deaf Aids, The Instigators and Dennis McQuillan, with more acts to be confirmed.

[Update] Death to the Strange have recently been confirmed to the line-up. You can check out them and the other bands on the bill through the links below. Can anyone with any further links also please send them to me at tom@salfordonline.com. Cheers.

Death to the Strange are fantastic, this is going to be the hot ticket of the weekend, plus The Jannocks, Cameron O'Hagan, and all for charity. You'd be a mug to miss this gig!. Emmet Grogan.

The poster was designed by Ric Gibbs, an amazingly talented graphic designer who also drums for the Country and Eastern Band and several other groups in the Kings Arms stable. Ric's website is www.ricgibbs.com
