Live Blues at The White Horse
Tony Flynn

Thursday 24th September sees a brand new musical evening at The White Horse, Gilda Brook Road, Eccles.

Hosted by local musician and festival performer Mal aka Charlie White it will feature the talents of Roger Davies from Hudddersfield, Nick Dow from Blackpool and of course the inimitable Charlie White.

Roger plays folk based music with a quirky twist with words relating to his local area, Nick will be playing a set of traditional Romany tunes, whilst Charlie will be treating us to a set of Blues and Americana music.

This promises to be a great evening out and I am really looking forward to it, so get down there and support live music in the area.

Admission is free and the music will run from 9.00pm-11.00pm.

Wow . . . Charlie White at the local! Saw his band at Colne Blues Festival in August - they really should have been on the Main Stage, he opened with a few acoustic tunes on the Dobro - awesome - a new twist on a familiar genre of music - ill be there! Telehead

Charlie is an 'unsung hero' - brilliant, talented and with a sense of humor. A night not to be missed. I will definately be there. Also Nick Dow - he hosts Lancashire Bluenotes on BBC Radio I do believe. Sam - Salford

I have seen The Charlie White Project at various Blues Festivals in the North West and they are really good, this sounds a great night out. Howling Wilf.
