ABBA-Mia at the Salford Proms 2009
by Tom Rodgers At the biggest Proms in Salford yet, tenor Jon Christos and mezzo soprano Juliette Pochin had the whole crowd jumping with this (unexpected) ABBA tribute. The medley included such hits as Mamma Mia, Waterloo and Dancing Queen was very well recieved by the crowd who had already been spoiled with such treats as Duetto, the BBC Philharmonic and some solo work from the pair. Despite the success of the act they insist that an album of Abba tributes is not in the offing, however!
