First Offenders play for freeby Mark Bright First Offenders, the Rock n Roll band straight outta Salford will play a free gig Tonight as their first gig of the New Year. At Sub61 on Artillery Street in the centre of Manchester the Offenders will deliver their indie-soul crossover, supported by The Endeavours and Juliet The Sun. Says Luke Gould of the band, "It's deep-rooted punchy rock/indie riffs, driving rhythm section and massive in yer face soulful vocals". First Offenders were formed out of the ashes of Salford 'Council House rock band' Poets Corner and enjoyed early success with high-profile appearances alongside Shed 7 at Manchester's Academy and supporting Ian Dury's Blockheads. Since forming in May 2008, the lads: Poz Williams (Vocals), Kev McCormack (Guitar), Luke Gould (Bass), Will McAteer (Guitar) and Davros Marsh (Drums), are now looking to convert new fans to their local following.
