Fundraiser for Salford City Radio

Salford City Radio are embarking on a series of live music nights showcasing local bands - unsigned and new - and also aiming to raise money to keep the radio station going. In partnership with The Kings Arms, the first event is on Thursday 26th January and the line up is as follows: Factory Star - the excellent band led by Blue Orchids and Fall legend Martin Bramah - primal garage rock mixed with dreamy ballads make this group one of the must see live experiences in the conurbation at the moment. A band that makes you think whilst you are dancing. Sandells - Psychedelic Kraut Punk speciallist Sandells weave magic with their motorik rhythms and searing guitar sounds. Led by local legend Tim Lyons of the Things and Harvey's Rabbit, and featuring the mighty drumming of Brian Benson and the amazing guitar of Johann Kloos. Kill Pretty - rising phoenix like from the ashes of the Hamsters and Sicknurse - Kill Pretty are a tour de force led by the effervescent Moet and anchored on the drums by Mike Leigh. Also features the father and son team Chris and Josh Dutton. Fresh from recording their first album they want to share it with you!
