Posted by Editor on 25th November 2009 at 12:52 PM 'Mr Salford' - John Wilkinson part 4: Mr Salford and the OBE
by Caroline Kullendorff So where did the 'Mr Salford' tag come from? Was it a tongue in cheek reference, or meant to be perjorative?
Caroline asks, and John tells, about the Mr Salford nickname, and the discussion turns to John's OBE and the things he's most proud of in his life.
Salford City Reds, his business and his family feature heavily in John's proudest moments, and we ask him directly, is he really the community-minded man he purports to be?

Seems to me that Wilkinson does get plenty of stick on Salfordline, just have a look at the comments below about him.
Yes he should reply to comments made about him but that is his perogative surely?. |

The man is a disgrace with no shame, the so called stadium site is already flooded and no sign of construction work taking place, why should we trust this man?. Come back Brian Snape you were at least honest and decent.
I am amazed that people still believe in this man, trust me it will end in tears for Salford fan's and money in the pockets of "Mr Salford". What a joke. The Ghost of Gus Risman. |
