Salford LIDS film at Salford Lads
By Karen Morris and Victoria Howell

We interviewed director and founder of the Local Initiatives Diverse Skills (LIDS), Mike Scantlebury at the Salford Lads Club about their ongoing series of local drama films.

The drama is about a group of young people who have been brought into a centre and been given a set of tasks which help them get to know one another.

Salford LIDS is a community project funded by John Grant Davies Trust, Ordsall and Langworthy Community Committee and the Co-op Members Fund.

Students are currently taking part, as well as teachers and members of the public. Adonis Murray, 17 and Tikira Ah-touhibbret, 19 are studying BTEC Performing Arts and Musical Theatre at Salford City College at the Pendleton Centre and believe that filming the drama has given them great experience in what is a tough industry.
