Plush Properties – a new lease of life for student and professional lettings!
To be able to juggle a family life and a work life is a struggle many women face; so when Laura Partington found the advice and help she needed to create Plush Properties, a property management business, she jumped at the chance. Based in Walkden, Plush Properties specialises in renting houses to students and professionals in Salford, Preston, Liverpool and Manchester. Laura highlighted an area in the market where Landlords do not have the resources and expertise in dealing with student lets. Plush Properties was created to ensure land lords maximised on their investments and the hassles were taken out of the process. At the end of 2010, Laura approached Salford Hundred Venture, a local based company who specialise in training and support for new and small businesses. Here, she gained all the knowledge required to start up Plush Properties and benefited from their specific training courses. Things really started to move when Laura won some funding through SHV’s Aspire competition. “The support and knowledge provided by Salford Hundred Venture really gave me the push I needed to work for myself; and with winning funding through Aspire, my confidence has rocketed” says Laura. “ Creating Plush Properties has allowed me to utilise all my previous experience in the property market and provided me with the flexibility I craved to be both a business women and a mother”. Plush Properties is now up and running and currently has high standard properties to rent for students and professionals. Laura’s 5 year plan is to expand her portfolio of properties throughout the North West and get the branding of Plush Properties to the fore front of landlords.
