Salford City FC v Warrington Town match preview
The Ammies visit fellow play-off hopefuls Warrington Town FC on Saturday 28th January. With some player (and official!) swapping between the two clubs, as well as both sides needing the 3 points, this should be a tense and exciting affair.

Former Town striker Gavin Salmon should feature in City's squad, whilst The Wire are likely to include Ammies' 2010/2011 Fans Player of the Year Matt Cross in their starting line-up. Former Warrington Town official Jon Barton has also swapepd sides, joining the SCFC committee in 2011/2012 pre-season. We take a look at the form of both sides over the last 6 matches here.

Warrington Town FC Last 6 League Matches

Warrington go into Saturday's match in good form, after a 1-0 away win at high-flying Farsley FC. This followed a hard-fought 0-0 draw at home to Durham City. Previously, The Wire's results had been something of a mixed bag, with a 5-0 away victory at Cammell Laird coming on the back of a 2-0 home defeat to Witton Albion. An unlucky 2-1 loss at home to promotion hopefuls Skelmersdale United came after a 5-1 thumping of Prescot Cables. Town have scored 12 goals in their last 6 matches, conceding 5, so The Ammies' defence could be kept quite busy!

Salford City FC Last 6 League Matches

Like Saturday's opponents, City have had an unpredictable couple of months. A disappointing 2-2 draw at home to Bamber Bridge was a blow to hopes of the play-offs, especially as it followed a 2-0 away defeat at Harrogate Railway Athletic. A 1-1 home draw with Prescot Cables was preceded by two convincing victories, 3-0 away at Radcliffe Borough and 4-1 at home to Mossley. The other disappointment in the last six games came with a 2-1 away defeat at Ossett Albion. City have scored 11 in the last six games and conceded 7, so this should be a fairly open game!

Team News: Danny Heffernan, Ben Beresford and Adam Morning all return to The Ammies' squad for the trip to Cantilever Park. New signing David Owens could also feature.
