This is a great idea, Salfords lucky to have such a interesting piece of First Nation art and it should be displayed ASAP, I think it should be displayed outside the Lowry or the war museum - perhaps they could exhibit some info about the wars between the original Americans and the settlers " Wounded Knee" etc!

Why don't Peel Holdings who would appear to own a lot if not all the land around the Salford Quays area, sponsor the totem pole to be erected outside say, The Lowry or Media City, or where it once stood if that is at all possible. It would make a great landmark and educate future generations about Salford's links with Canada and America.

To the person who wrote the comment below this one. Look at the line above where it says Related links then if you can then read it and click it. Are you one of the swans or something? There is always one idiot who likes to spoil everything and we have found you here today.

I feel daft having lived in Salford for only a few years and have never seen this Totem Pole in my life, when can we see it please?. This is a great part of this Citys heritage and should be erected in a prominent place, otherwise it will be forgotten and left to rot away where ever it is, what about a public park or a traffic round about, use it as a landmark as you come into Salford.Let's get it seen please!.

This is a great campaign, the totem pole should have never been taken down in the first place. Come on Salford Council pull yer finger out!.
