Meadowfield Drive car-jacking - witness appeal
Three men have been arrested in connection with a car jacking in Salford.

At 5.20pm on Tuesday 19 January 2010, a 41-year-old man was near his home on Meadowfield Drive, Salford.

He was approached by three men who demanded his car keys and assaulted him.

They drove off in the victim's BMW Coupe.

The car was abandoned on Cross Avenue, Prestwich a short time later, at about 5.45pm.

The offenders ran off from Cross Avenue, across the footbridge over the M60 and onto Bury New Road before splitting up.

Two men were arrested nearby.

A third man was arrested a short time later in an area known locally as the trees estate.

PC Fiona Butler of the Robbery Unit at Swinton, said: "We believe a number of items will have been discarded in the area by the offenders.

"I would urge anyone who has come across a dumped item of clothing, perhaps a balaclava or anything else that seems out of place to call police."

Anyone with information is asked to call the Robbery Unit on 0161 856 5250, or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555
